Synopsis
A gray house. Three gray characters. Bored, bland, and dulled by technology, they move like prisoners in a predetermined mechanism, their eyes always glued to the screens. But then an unexpected element arrives! A butterfly will shift their gaze elsewhere, and the house will become the stage for new adventures and transformations. A crescendo of emotions and escapades in which the three characters will finally rediscover the power of imagination, in a continuous game of liberating bodies and minds.
Exercises in Fantasy tells, through the language of dance and movement, the power of imagination that transforms things and people into something always unexpected and extraordinary. The creators were inspired by the concept of “Fantastica” from writer Gianni Rodari. Close to the surrealism of the 1950s and inspired by the works of Alfred Jarry and his pataphysics (the science of imaginary solutions), Rodari affirmed the existence of a Fantastica in total opposition to Logic.
