Synopsis
Janček’s life was absolutely ordinary. Nothing special to report: no adventures, no misfortunes, no particular or revolutionary project hidden deep inside. Janček is just an average boy who one fine day… finds himself transformed into a hedgehog!
Even though many people might not believe it, the life of a hedgehog is far from simple and pleasant. It’s quite difficult to get out of bed, extremely dangerous to cross a street, and even hugging a friend is risky. And the hedgehog’s menu is not exciting at all: only apples and pears, and maybe, on Sundays, a worm as dessert.
But this boy, who wakes up one foggy morning to discover he’s become a hedgehog, decides not to despair over this new reality. He refuses to settle for a life of eating apples and worms, and instead sets out on a quest to find his lucky star.
In the Press
“A production that surprises not only for its content but also for its execution: puppets and props emerge, in real-time, before the audience from pieces of clay and other materials. They continuously transform, portraying not just a story but a real-life scene on stage. A technically accomplished performance that highlights the full expressive power of puppet theater.” (Barbara Volčjak, Večer).
