Trallallero is a widespread festival across the Gemonese area and the Torre Valleys (Friuli), held in the first half of October each year.

Founded in 2011 by Teatro al Quadrato, it has become an international festival of theatre and culture for new generations since 2019. The festival follows a biennial structure, with odd-numbered years focused on an international showcase and even-numbered years dedicated to training and the local community.

The festival offers a wide-ranging program of performances for audiences aged 0 to 14 (targeting schools and families), complemented by educational events, workshops, reading promotion activities, and outdoor education initiatives, thanks to the collaboration of various project partners.

Trallallero aims to be a space for meeting and sharing, where artists, professionals, programmers, and critics can engage in a constructive environment, with a strong focus on the artistic and creative process. This principle led to the creation of the Criticare ad Arte project, a structured dialogue pathway curated by the MateariuuM collective.

With the Blooming project, we support and give space to new productions, offering tutoring and training projects for companies and individual artists under 35 who are looking to enter or refine their path in the world of theatre for children and youth.

This makes Trallallero particularly attractive to emerging artists working with experimental and innovative languages.

is the idea of culture and territory that we want to pass on to the new generations;

uses the language of the theatre and contemporary art to involve the new generations and make them become aware protagonists of the cultural evolution process in our land;

is a space for meeting and exchanging views at a walking pace;

is a sustainable international development project that allows a territory, its artistic production, and its professionals, to be trained, to present themselves and to get international qualifications.
